International student exchange program - Session 1: Current status of dairy farming in North Vietnam, opportunities and challenges

From December 10th to December 31th, 2021, a group of students from Animal Husbandry faculty of Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture (VNUA) will be joining International student exchange program
From December 10th to December 31th, 2021, a group of students from Animal Husbandry faculty of Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture (VNUA) will be joining International student exchange program, along with students from Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Brawijaya, Indonesia (FAS-BU); Faculty of Agricultural Science and Technology, University Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Thailand (FAST-RMUTL); Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries, Tra Vinh University, Vietnam. The program will be organized online through Zoom application.
On December 10, 2021, a group of Animal Science faculty students presented and shared with this following topic: "The current situation of dairy farming in the North of Vietnam. opportunities and challenges”. The program is an opportunity for students to exchange and learn with friends in the area. When participating, all the presentations are in English, so the participators have the opportunity to practice,sharpen and promote their foreign language ability.

At the sharing session, Mr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Kim Dang- Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and the teachers and leaders of the participating schools gave a speech introducing the content, purpose and meaning of the program. Continuing the speech of Mr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Kim Dang was the presentation of a group of students from Faculty of Livestock - Vietnam University of Agriculture. The students respectively presented about: overview of dairy farming in the North of Vietnam; dairy cow breeds in the North of Vietnam and feed sources for the cattle; milk consumption and new technologies that have been and are being applied to dairy farming in the North of Vietnam; difficulties and challenges in dairy farming; diseases occurring in dairy cows, environmental pollution caused by its farming process.
At the end of the program was a discussion finding out solutions for currently happening issues in rasing dairy cows and a presentation about Indonesia culture with the performance by students from Faculty of Animal Husbandry, University of Brawijaya, Indonesia (FAS-BU).
Ending the first day of the program, students from Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture (FAS-VNUA) showed off their English ability greatly. Foreign languages are a prerequisite for international integration as well as the earliest access to scientific and technical advances, human civilization. The ability to coordinate and work in a team is well-organized. For the first time, there was a mix of students from the first to the fourth year in a presentation, but the good coordination and the constructive spirit, trying their best created a good team. Hoping with this passionate spirit, you guys will give the best shots on upcoming days.
