I. Introduction
Department of Animal breeding and Genetics
History:
Department of Animal breeding and Genetics was established in 1960, includes academic staffs who graduated from Vietnamese and oversea Universities, particular Russia, China, German, Australia and Belgium.
From 1960 to 1964: Unit of Animal Breeding and Genetics belonged to Department of Animal breeds-Feed-Production, Faculty of Animal and Veterinary Science.
From 1964 to 1966: Unit of Animal Breeding and Genetics belonged to Department of Breeding - Obstetrics – Artificial Insemination.
From 1967: Unit of Animal Breeding and Genetics became an independent department named “Animal Breeding and Genetics”.
