History:
The Department of Biology and Zoology was established in 1956 at the same time with the University; is one of the first department of Faculty of Animal science and Veterinary Medicine. Since its foundation, the department was under with other name of Faculty:
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from 1965 to 1968; Basical Science form 1969 to 1984;
Animal science and Veterinary from 1984 to 2006. At this time the department has been entered with department of Animal Physiology and Department of Biochemistry. Animal Science and Aquaculture from 2007 to 2014; Faculty of Animal Science from 2014 until now, and the derparment has been separared with other department and named Department of Biology and Zoology.
