Currently, in Vietnam, more than 300 domestic and foreign animal feed production companies are operating. The increase in the number and size of livestock enterprises along with the trend of closed production chain from feed, breed to farm and food has created a great demand for human resources in the Livestock industry with a high level of production, attractive salary and good benefits. The common salary of employees in this industry ranges from 10 to 15 million VND/month, for those involved in livestock business, the salary can be up to 20-25 million VND/month. Especially, for employees working in livestock production facilities of developed countries such as Japan, Denmark, Israel... the salary ranges from 40-50 million VND/month.

Faculty of Animal Science, Vietnam National University of Agriculture is currently training at undergraduate level in Animal Science for 4 years. Students are equipped with knowledge on selection and breeding of livestock; breeding technology process; skills in ration coordination, implementation of animal feed production processes; analysis and inspection of feed quality and management of livestock environment; marketing of animal feed; analysis, quality control and consumption of livestock products. Besides, soft skills training courses, academic activities programs, scientific researches, contests for students are held every year to help students have the opportunity to perfect and develop their working skills. teamwork, communication skills, self-management skills.
In addition to the knowledge equipped at the University, students of Animal Science program also have the opportunity to participate in a paid internship program at domestic enterprises (CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company), Cargill, Mavin, Masan, Dabaco, Sunjin, Green Feed, Hoa Phat…) as well as participating in internship programs in countries with advanced agriculture in the world (Japan, Israel, ...). Especially, the paid internship program in Denmark offers breakthrough opportunities for 3rd and 4th year students.

Graduates of Bachelor of Science in Animal Science can work in positions such as:
– Management and quarantine officers at administrative and non-business units: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Agriculture, Center for Agricultural Extension, Sub-Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Sub-Department of Quality Inspection quantity of agro-forestry-fishery products in the provinces, districts and related ministries, departments and agencies.
