4-Month Exchange Journey at Konkuk University, South Korea by Animal Science Students

Within the framework of the project "Capacity Building Program for Vietnam National University of Agriculture to Improve Human Resources in Vietnam's Livestock Industry" (referred to as the KOICA_VNUA project), three students from the Faculty of Animal Science—Ngo Minh Hieu, Hoang Thanh Lam, and Ta Ngoc Bich—have completed a one-semester student exchange program at Konkuk University, South Korea. During their four-month stay, they not only had the opportunity to expand their academic knowledge and strengthen their professional expertise in an international learning environment, but also gained invaluable cultural experiences that will benefit both their personal and professional development.

At Konkuk University, students had the opportunity to participate in advanced training programs. Experiencing new teaching methods along with modern facilities helped them acquire in-depth knowledge in the field of Animal Science, Health and Production. This serves as a vital stepping stone, broadening their perspectives and boosting their confidence in their future career paths.

Beyond the lecture halls, a major highlight of the trip was attending the Korea International Livestock EXPO 2025. This event gathered the most advanced livestock farming technologies and techniques available today. Visiting and exploring this exhibition provided highly beneficial practical insights, allowing the students to consolidate their knowledge, grasp global trends, and nurture their aspiration to contribute to Vietnam's livestock industry.

The trip was not limited to studying and research; it was also a fantastic opportunity for the students to explore the Land of Kimchi. They created unforgettable memories visiting the tranquil, scenic historical sites in the ancient city of Andong, and immersing themselves in the dynamic pace of Seoul. Bustling, famous streets such as Myeong-dong, Hongdae, and Itaewon offered multidimensional views of the local cuisine, culture, and the modern lifestyle of Korean youth.
